To perform a FocusAide Diagnostic Trace: 1) Download the latest version of FocusAide from http://www.aquest-inc.com/Downloads.htm, unzip, and install the focusaide.exe file into your FocusAide install folder by overwriting the focusaide.exe file that is already there. 2) Download the FADaig.zip package from http://www.aquest-inc.com/Downloads.htm, unzip, and copy the files to your FocusAide install folder. 3) When you are ready to begin the trace, double click on FADiag.exe in your install folder. This will start both FocusAide and the trace log program. 4) Perform the *minimum* steps required to cause the problem you are experiencing to occur clicking or moving as few on-screen controls as possible. 5) When you have reached an appropriate point in FocusAide operation, stop FocusAide, and then close the logger program. 6) By default, the messages received by the logger program were written to a file called Tracelog.txt and placed in your FocusAide install folder. If your system locks up or otherwise becomes inoperative the TraceLog.txt file will still be useable after a reboot. Note: Any previously written TraceLog.txt file will be overwritten if it exists when the trace is initiated. 7) Email the TraceLog.txt file from your install folder to techsupport@aquest-inc.com. Please include the list of steps required to cause the problem and other information pertinent to describing the problem.
